The non aesthetically pleasing string arrangement is because I do not have the required B. The string runs over the headstock are due to the non-pliancy of the plastic-coated strings, not because Jez cannot plot his machine head paths correctly.

I am not a fan of blob pressed against the fretboard up to 10th fret[ seen many others like it ] but overall it's not so bad aesthetically even with the hole in the headstock; nice looking fretboard and unoffensive color🙂

Ignore the wobbly nature of the LEDs in the picture. Taking pictures in the dark was never one of my strong points.

It is. a 27" 5 string. Ash body, maple neck with padauk fretboard. You get a better idea of the size next to this Markbass 801:

That is his trademark 

you can stick pins around the hole and so weave tubes of yarn to make into socks for tiny people

Always quite liked the  Prosebass designs, would still quite like a 5 at some point if one turns up. Shame he stopped building as they were a bit ahead of their time IMO, he did a lot of headless variants as well IIRC.

My title is misleading really, I actually bought two of Jez's basses. I am away at the moment but will get a pic up when I get home. It makes this one look big.

He moved across the Atlantic IIRC (to Canada, again IIRC). I liked the look of his headlesses.
