Jay Carter Music Posted May 26, 2023 Share Posted May 26, 2023 Hi, I am an Ehrlund EAP user and I like the onboard preamp that comes with it and I'd like an extra one! The cheapest thing for me would be to buy the preamp with the PU £415 from thomann and find someone to chip in who wants the PU on its own. (Ehrlund do recommend using the PU with the onboard preamp just to be transparent). You could though for example use it with headway EBD 2 or EBS SCAP if you wanted to. I have tried it with both it works well I just personally prefer to have onboard controls. Some people hate stuff on their bass and might fancy a go.
