Hello all,

Anybody experienced this before -

My Hartke HA3500 head was working fine, just the other night. Go to switch it on last night. Nothing.

Course I'll check the fuse in the plug later for first checks - but does anyone know of similar problems? Plays fine one eveninging and then no power the next?

I bought this off a guy not 3 weeks ago so I'm PRAYING all is ok.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

NTRD

I had a problem with mine - I think a cap went potty and burned out a resistor in the power rectification stage for the valve preamp. Replaced the caps and the resistor and it's been great ever since.

Obviously a total showstopper has to be traced from the power lead backwards. The attached file might help.

Try giving it a thump somewhere around the rear left corner. Mine has a dry joint or a dodgy connection somewhere betwen the power amp and the speaker out sockets, a bit of a twatting gets it going but you'll need to take it to a proper amp tech for a long term solution.

Try the mains fuse (should be in the kettle lead connection on the amp). My little Hatrke combo blew one of these, fretted about it for a couple of days then bought a new mains fuse for 50p! :)
