NottherealDuff
Hello all, Anybody experienced this before - My Hartke HA3500 head was working fine, just the other night. Go to switch it on last night. Nothing. Course I'll check the fuse in the plug later for first checks - but does anyone know of similar problems? Plays fine one eveninging and then no power the next? I bought this off a guy not 3 weeks ago so I'm PRAYING all is ok. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks, NTRD
peted
Nope. My 2nd hand Hartke 3500 hasn't skipped a beat in years with plenty of use.

neepheid
I had a problem with mine - I think a cap went potty and burned out a resistor in the power rectification stage for the valve preamp. Replaced the caps and the resistor and it's been great ever since. Obviously a total showstopper has to be traced from the power lead backwards. The attached file might help. TheRev
Try giving it a thump somewhere around the rear left corner. Mine has a dry joint or a dodgy connection somewhere betwen the power amp and the speaker out sockets, a bit of a twatting gets it going but you'll need to take it to a proper amp tech for a long term solution. lemmywinks
Try the mains fuse (should be in the kettle lead connection on the amp). My little Hatrke combo blew one of these, fretted about it for a couple of days then bought a new mains fuse for 50p!
bassbloke
I owned a HA7000 years ago. The pots were surfaced mounted on the PCB which made it very susceptible to loose solder joints. Easy enough to fix though.
NottherealDuff
Thanks all for your advice! Hoping I can sort it. I don't have a PC when I'm at home so have to generally wait till I'm at work to reply. cheers, Duff
