Heard this on the radio this morning. Loved it until I turned the car radio up and the Bassline became more apparent. In parts it is great, fits the song perfectly. But in others, it sounds a complete mess ( or am I missing something)?

I think it’s just a bit of an underdeveloped line - almost like the player is chancing ideas.

Has strong “The Night” vibes - that has a bit of an all over the show feel.

remember when my mate was in a play called “Once Upon a Time at Wigan Casino” or something of that ilk.

they had a live band on a platform at the rear - this was one of the tracks.

I must admit to quite liking it though - has a charm.

Bit of tidying up and it would be great. Love the track.

What is wrong with my stupid brain!? The first thing I noticed is it sounds just like Cliff's Devil Women in the quieter bits. And I'm in a bloody Northern Soul band. 😂

IMO it's an interesting bass line.

I like it.

Well played, busy but not overplayed, and not your usual basic soul bass line. Thumbs up from me.

I play in a Northern Soul band, and this is one of the ones right near the end.
I mix about with the line a bit, as you do, and it always goes down well
