spyder Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 Does it sound any good? Does it degrade the sound? Quote

With it being passive transformers it should have very little effect on the sound. Of course ultimately it will depend on the quality of the transformers inside, but it should be more transparent than an active DI at the same price point. 1 Quote
BassAdder60 Posted June 1, 2023 Author Posted June 1, 2023 They work well, no noticeable loss of tone and a good in the bag backup if you or the guitarist needs it Quote

MrDinsdale Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 I'm managed to score a Radial ProDI for around £40 on ebay a while back. I've also got a very nice DI on the Jad Freer Capo which is I'd say inline with a JDI and similar. I've also used super budget DIs. Can honestly say, while there is a noticeable difference between the extreme ends of the spectrum in a direct comparison, for live use it's pretty negligible. Certainly a case of diminishing returns. If I didn't have the Capo I'd be going for something like this or a second hand radial low/mid level DI for live music use. What ever had a reasonable noise floor and was compact. Quote

Elfrasho Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 i use the millenium passive one off thomann. think it's £11. Use it all the time for a variety of things. Never once thought that it's not up to the job- and its relatively wee! 1 Quote
