thebassist
This Maruszczyk “Jazznik” 6 I commissioned arrived with me today. A terrific instrument, it’s really just as good as a lot of the Fodera 6s I’ve owned. Edited June 10, 2023 by thebassist 14
eude
Congratulations, that is lovely! Why are you calling it a "Jazznik" rather than Sputnik by the way? Eude
thebassist
It’s got the Jazzus headstock and the Sputnik body. It was either the Jazznik or Sputus
velvetkevorkian
Very nice, much more balanced body shape than most Foderas imho.

asingardenof
Very nice! I'm not normally a fan of that style of single cut bass but that actually looks lovely.
eude
What's the spec on the bass?
thebassist
Hi @eude - I've had a few days with the bass now and it really is brilliant. I wanted the advantages of neck-through while trying to get as close to the sound of a bolt-on as possible hence the wood selections and pickup positioning - I think it is as close as I could have gotten it. Body Sputnik body with Jazzus headstock Northern hard ash body with ebony veneer Olive top Neck Ebony 3-Piece maple with ebony veneer Mother of pearl dot inlays Abalone M logo Construction Neck-through body 33" Scale 6-string with 17mm spacing 24-fret Electronics Aguilar OBP-3 Aguilar DCB D4
