Rayman Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Anyone had one? Any good? I have the opportunity to buy an MLB1, but you don’t see them around often…. just wondering if anyone has any experience with one? Quote
fretmeister Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 I had a go on one for about 10 mins. It was very very heavy. I've had 6 strings that were lighter. I don't know if that was a unique example, but I have read some reviews by other people saying the same. Definitely worth asking about. Quote
TheGreek Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) There was one on ebay recently - didn't look in any way special. I passed on it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325680904165?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=aNIBP-b0SRK&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Edited June 9, 2023 by TheGreek 1 Quote
Kev Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 I had the Dave Hollingworth signature model, it was a nice bass but felt like it was built to a budget, and the Bart pickups were oddly quiet (i'd had the same in other basses and they have been fine before). 2 Quote

This. Mine was a super pretty bass, but just felt like it had been put together on the cheap, and was very quiet. I regret selling it for personal reasons (it was a present to myself for not dying from covid) but as a working instrument, it wasn’t as good as it looked sadly. Mudpup Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 I wouldn't be bothered about what that sounded like.........I could just cheerfully sit there gazing at it for hours instead 🙂 1 Quote
