Anyone had one? Any good? I have the opportunity to buy an MLB1, but you don’t see them around often…. just wondering if anyone has any experience with one?

I had a go on one for about 10 mins.

It was very very heavy. I've had 6 strings that were lighter.

I don't know if that was a unique example, but I have read some reviews by other people saying the same. Definitely worth asking about.

I had the Dave Hollingworth signature model, it was a nice bass but felt like it was built to a budget, and the Bart pickups were oddly quiet (i'd had the same in other basses and they have been fine before).

This. Mine was a super pretty bass, but just felt like it had been put together on the cheap, and was very quiet. I regret selling it for personal reasons (it was a present to myself for not dying from covid) but as a working instrument, it wasn’t as good as it looked sadly.

I wouldn't be bothered about what that sounded like.........I could just cheerfully sit there gazing at it for hours instead 🙂
