Fender Precision Pro ii NBD

Have been hankering after another Precision for a while now so I went to Guitar Guitar in Birmingham a few weeks ago.

Tried a few different basses and then tried this one out. Fit and finish is impeccable with the best neck joint that I have seen on a Fender. It weighs in at 3.7kg and resonates like crazy as you play. 
Was originally looking for Oly White/Rosewood but am absolutely smitten with the black maple.

The VMOD ii pickup is really quite nice much to my surprise, it will probably get replaced with a Nord or a Fralin at some point but no hurry on that!

They seem to have got this dialled at the moment. My AV II  is so snug it needs the neck bolts tightening to snug it into the pocket, but only to normal tightness.

Nice purchase. I purchased a rosewood neck version. You are right the neck is really comfortable. I’ve learn’t that i slightly prefer tha 70,s B profile neck. I wouldn’t complain about this neck though is really nice.

Congrats! These are great basses that sound and feel great. I have the mercury one with rosewood fretboard. I love it.

Black, maple…..lovely. Just bought a MIM from GG too….still to do a NB thread as I’m too busy but I’m loving it.
