There are lots of popular channels out there from BassTheWorld, The Bass Channel, JuliaPlaysGroove, Scotts Bass Lessons, etc… here’s a couple of new-ish channels I subscribed to recently that don’t have many followers but are well worth a look:

Bassed - a couple of bass geeks from Kentucky who review gear and interview players

The Wetter Bass - gear reviews tastefully done, great playing and always gets the best out of the pedals being demoed

Shout out any others that deserve more attention down below!

I still enjoy Dave’s World of fun Stuff. He is a bass player and much of his repair work is on basses. How many times can you watch the neck being sorted and the action improved. In my case, quite a lot and I still can’t remember which way to turn the truss rod to reduce the neck relief.

A few I follow here:

Lee Sklar - nuff said

Cici bass - also seen on Anderton's All About The Bass

AMP - Reviews n that

Dr Funk - good if you like slap. I've seen him busking in Falmouth and he is really good

Gev Delano - very talented kid

Jermaine Morgan - lessons, demos, etc.

Rumblin Man - demos of bass and guitar stuff

Some non-bass stuff:

Alison Eales - friend of mine just released her first album, go check it out because it's awesome (and I'm not just saying that because I'm biased)

Dominic Noble - book reviews

exurb1a - philosophy and stuff

J Draper - History

Nicole Coenen - lumberjacking lesbian and, er, something Canadian starting with L...

The Charismatic Voice - music reactions and vocal analysis from an opera singer, teacher, producer, etc.

I think most have been mentioned in favourite bass YouTubers , but for theory and exercises I use Mark from Talking Bass , I like his no waffling approach

Mark is great, all of his lessons are really clear and well put together.

I can't help thinking if this sketch whenever I watch one of his vids though 😂

+1 - pretty much the whole reason I ended up getting a Mojomojo for my overdrive - being a guitar pedal I would have probably never even looked near it without seeing his review/cheap bass overdrive shootout.

Not sure if he is a member here but James Maxted is a cool guy to watch for covers and reviews

Ed Friedland - Bass Whisperer TV same sort of thing.

Tony Senatore's Classic Bass Tracks - covers you don't see often.

Ato71 - wide range of covers

Alfon Lopez - wide range of covers

My favourite non bass Youtube channel - Mark Felton Productions for those among us who are into military history.

Most of the channel’s I’m subscribed to are reggae , but I do have some others that have some nice grooves on with mainly P basses, one player I follow is Naoto Tada, if you’re into vintage basses he’s got a few on there worth watching

Recently became aware of this guy, Chanan Hanspal, through a series of interviews he did with Andy Partridge from XTC (well worth watching). I subscribed off the back of those (and his content on Zappa and the Mighty Boosh) and this popped up a few days ago.

I really like his style, and his musical knowledge and how he imparts it is top drawer - like a Beato of the Valleys!

Yeah he’s a great player and he’s got some nice basses, the 2 I like is the Left 1975 Right 1960

Oh that 1975 pbass 😍. love the colour combo. Interestingly he changed the pickups to lollar standard wound. He then changed the casing. Many people thought it was dimarzio P pickups.

Yes I really like how he sits in the groove.

If you like naval history, Drachnifel is well worth a watch.
