asingardenof
Hi all, I've had my P-bass for nearly 25 years now, owned from new, and I'm wondering how worn frets need to be to require any attention. Below are a couple of shots of the first fret, but I'm not sure if this is OK to keep playing (I've not noticed any issues) or if a fret dress might be worthwhile at some point, or if it's actually worn to the point of needing replacement. Any thoughts?
velvetkevorkian
If you've not noticed any issues I wouldn't worry about it 🤷♀️

stevel
Definite case for buying a new bass. 😜 Of course, this one isn't worth much in it's current state, so you'd best keep it as a backup...
Andyjr1515
As the others have said, if it plays OK, leave well alone
Lozz196
Unless it affects playability or tuning stability leave as is.
Baloney Balderdash
Wouh, that's bad, man, you would need a new bass, a new amp, a new wife, and quite possibly a new hip bone as well, to fix that! TheGreek
I'm of the opinion that it's beyond saving...send it to me, I'm having an outdoor fire - I'll burn it for you. 😉😉
