Courier alternative, "man n van"?

Hi, I remember someone on here used to use a "man and van" type service instead of the usual couriers. I've done a deal for an amp and would like to get a quote from said company as an alternative to the usual suspects, if anyone has the info please share. Thanks!

I've used anyvan.com before for "man and van" services, although the actual people in vans prefer not to use it because of the fees that get added on.

Ok guys ,I know I’ve hooked a lot of people up before but for those that don’t know, Tim is the man you need. Delivery anywhere in the U.K. in person and super safe and reliable. Just tell him I passed on his number and he will sort you out. I think it’s still £65 but ask him. I guarantee you won’t get a better or more reliable service anywhere else.

Whatsapp is best 🙂

Thank you.

Was looking for something like Tim. I'm selling a Lunt Solar scope and if you think guitars are difficult to ship, try high end optical gear. Triple boxed, and dedicated cut-to fit-foam between each box.

Knowing there is a decent courier makes my life a lot easier.

Will call him once its sold.

Pretty sure it was @fleabag who found a different type of service - fixed fee most of UK. Sorry for the tag Fleabag if it wasn't you.

Yes it was me.  The Courier is Lenspeed. When you call you get the boss.  Great service. No need for hard cases or cardboard boxes.  Just a padded case will do.

They specialise in music equipment, including valve amps and also delicate antiques. Last time i used them was 3 weeks ago and it was £55 for my bass.

Call Lenny on 07834 320 015.  I've now used them 3 times.

I tried Walshy's man and he never returned my call.

Hmm that’s not like Tim. I used to use Stuart but he retired ( too many driving points 😂) and passed me on to Tim who I’ve used for a good while now.

I think when i messaged you for a contact, it was Stuart who's number you gave me, Walshy.  It was on answer , so left a message and never heard back.

Now we know why :)

It was to send a commission sale on my Taylor 12 to a shop, and called the shop to say i was having trouble with a courier, and it was the shop who recommended Lenspeed

For sure, there's at least 2 couriers here now who can do a good job. Being able to speak to the main man is a whopping bonus.

These people are not yer average parcel booters.  They take care, which is paramount

I contacted Tim regarding collection of a head and cab in Cardiff to Hatfield.

He quoted me £100...bit more than I expected to pay TBH.

I think sometimes it can depend on how many drops he’s got down our way , or if it’s just the one journey from north to south

Crap I didn’t buy that too did I 😂 I’m glad he’s helping you guys out too, I’d not use anyone else tbh and even £100 is nowt imo when it’s handed over in person and super safe.

Must be hell difficult to balance dead runs against building the business.

If I was him I would be mostly running up and down the UK north/south style. So Cardiff might get picked up and go via Manchester to Hatfield. Build up to doing figure 8's with two vans meeting up in the middle twice a week sort of thing.
