ezbass Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 You’ve taken me right back to my childhood there, @Riverbassman65, I remember repeatedly reading a book about the St Lawrence river in the library. 10 minutes ago, Riverbassman65 said: the gits in my country. 😂 Nice to see that the epithet ‘gits’ is in use so far from these shores. Kudos! 2 Quote
Riverbassman65 Posted June 22, 2023 Author Posted June 22, 2023 Ezbass, glad I could bring back memories! oh, I love British slang. When I was an exchange officer to the Canadian Army I hung out with many expats and found the best expressions! I also love plonker! 6 minutes ago, ezbass said: You’ve taken me right back to my childhood there, @Riverbassman65, I remember repeatedly reading a book about the St Lawrence river in the library. msb Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Welcome ! Plonk here is usually an inexpensive wine. I’ve cut back a lot but still appreciate the occasional glass … Quote
