Risk101
Colleague at work asked me to do a set up on this bass for his son. It only had two strings on it when he brought it in. Cleaned fretboard, restrung, saddle height adjusted (was ludicrously high!) intonation adjusted. Neck pretty straight once it had 4 strings on! he hadn’t realised it was active and as I didn’t have an amp I couldn’t see what it does - battery had Japanese characters on it so might be quite old!! Can anyone say what the two switches might do ?!?! Quite a bit of gaffer tape round the cabling so it may or may not be original. all he knows is that his son will be happy to be playing 4 strings instead of just 2 !!! 😂😂
Paul S
Looks like one of the Cardinal Series, CSB300 or similar, but they were passive. Maybe someone has modded it. 1

philw
I had one of those, an Aria Cardinal CSB300 as my first "real" bass. Well, an un-modded one anyway. Wish I still had it really.
