Boss CS-3 with Monte Allum mod *SOLD *

Continuing gear clear-out of stuff I just don't use. Bought this last year off gafbass (IIRC) as - with the aid of the Monte Allum kit - it compresses much more than the Aphex Punch Factory I had previously owned. All well and good, but the only pedal I really need/use (apart from a tuner) live is my Tech 21 VT Bass. So its going.

Few scratches on it but in fairly good nick. £40 posted sounds fair, I reckon.

I remember the original CS2/CS3 was quite a hissy pedal. Does the mod kit address this?

Hi there, I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to compressors and I haven't played the models you mention (only the Punch Factory and this modded CS-3). Perhaps the best answer I can give is to say check out what is said on the Monte Allum website, about half way down the page (there's a sound clip as well) [url="http://www.monteallums.com/pedal_mods.html"]http://www.monteallums.com/pedal_mods.html[/url]

Here are a couple of not very informative reviews as well. Typical words that are used of the pedal, when I did a web search, include "smooth" and "very quiet". I don't think there's an obtrusive hiss, for what its worth, but then I play punk/rock and what I expect from a bass sound may differ from others!
