ACG Tryout - Can You Help Please?

I’d like to try out an ACG fretless with one of the latest DFMs and the Uber pickups.

 

Does anyone live within about an hour of Leatherhead with such a beast who might enable to help me out?

I'm in Iver near Windsor, with a fretless ACG Krell 5 string, but it's got narrow string spacing so I didn't go with the MC series pick-ups, as they can't be anything but 18mm spacing. I have RFB's and the DFM 4K.

As these are largely non-production line instruments, surely they're going to vary from one unit to another?  Even more so than the differences you'd get from mass produced ones.

The model styles are fairly consistent, a Krell is the same shape given the scale length and variations in things like fingerboard radius, but the electronics vary depending on the original choice, I think OP wants to have a play with the filter based pre-amp and the multi-coil pickups.

DFM and the MC pickups are a great combo.  Sadly I live a long way from the SE so not practical I suspect.  This is mine:

I've not got a fretless with MC pups, but I have a headless 6 string with the DFM 4K preamp. I do also have a fretted 5er with the MC pups and a DFM 5K however.

 

I've got a decent range of Alan's designs too, albeit in 31.5" scale, so the OP could see what shape fits well too.

 

I've reached out on the Facebook post, South Croydon isn't too far so hopefully we can figure out something.

If you’re free you could try the London guitar show. I think ACG might have a stand at the show but I would obviously check first.
