Waddo Soqable Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 I've seen a few SX basses and thought they looked really decent, with much potential 👍 1 Quote
Burns-bass Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 I had one of these. Absolutely excellent basses. 1 Quote
Rayman Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 I’m still on the lookout for an off white one, to build a Laura Lee tribute. 1 Quote
Marty Forrer Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 I believe Laura Lee's SX has DiMarzio pickups. She is a fine player and always has a great tone, and has been using that SX for a long time. 1 Quote
stewblack Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 I gig mine regularly. Never felt any need to change it. Great bass. Quote

Im getting involved in a new project where a jazz set up with some groundwounds might be the thing. I really like the green one. So seeing your comment has made me think yeah why not. Laura Lee’s SX is sxy 😂 1 Quote

I swapped out the stock tone and volume for an EMG HZ that matches the pickups. And removed the scratch plate. Fender high mass bridge. 👍 2 Quote
Baloney Balderdash Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 The bassplayer from Khruangbin plays a SX Jazz Bass as her main, though with the stock pickups swapped for some higher quality ones (I forget if they are Seymour Duncans or DiMarzios, but one of those two). Quote
