smithy Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 I´m sure, this has been asked and answered several times. But as it is one of the most important things in making music to me, I´ll ask it one more time. What´s the tune you´re playing over and over again without getting enough of it? To me it´s "The Way" by Fastball. Just re-discovered it and don´t know how I could lose it for years. 2 Quote
Doctor J Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Every time I listen to the albums, I end up listening to these songs multiple times before I can move on Aaaah there are loads but that'll do for now Quote
Earbrass Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Not my usual thing, but I've been playing this one a lot lately 4 Quote

Leonard Smalls Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 A bit exhilarating, but has a number of naughty words... A must-listen while driving 1 Quote
Reggaebass Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Once I’ve learned a song and played it quite a few times I tend to drift away from it and only play it once every now and again, one Bassline I never tire of playing is this by Robbie Shakespeare, it really drives the song 2 Quote
nilorius Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 (edited) Marcus Miller - Mr.Pastorius. (he fretted - me, fretless). Edited June 29, 2023 by nilorius Quote
Paul S Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 I love these threads. Music is such a broad church with such diverse genres that we can all find very different things uplifting. I'd probably choose something fairly mainstream like 'Long Train Running' by The Doobie Brothers that most folk could identify with. Then someone will post a song called something like 'Rancid Cadaver' by a band with a name like Mutant Zombie Slime with hoarse shouty vocals and superspeed, detuned and distorted riffing. 1 Quote
