Waddo Soqable Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 I like the P on the left I really don't like the headstock on the other one.. (and it's a kind of jazz) Quote
Mickyk Posted July 3, 2023 Author Posted July 3, 2023 The Sire arrived today ,had to see what all the fuss was about, first impressions are shes definitely a looker but will she be a keeper, our date will start in 5 mins when ive set her up . She'll have to go some some to push my P aside. We'll see . Quote

Waddo Soqable Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 Imho they ruin the look of a lot of basses that are otherwise a nice looking Fender copy by sticking some 'orrible shape headstock on it ( I didn't think Fender are like John Hall going mental about design patents etc either but? ) 1 Quote
Nail Soup Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 (edited) Ref the thread title. Saying that a bass is your love is going quite far enough. Saying it's your lover is going too far. Edited July 3, 2023 by Nail Soup spelling 2 Quote
Nail Soup Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 But I'd probably go with the green one because I'm shallow and It's prettier. Quote

mr4stringz Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 Put them in different rooms then neither will know when you’re cheating. 1 1 Quote

asingardenof Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 I'm also torn between a P and a Sire J-style. I've been using my V7 for rehearsals and gigs for about the last six months, but using my P for home practice. I need to get the P back out into the wild again. When (if) I follow through with my plan to get a Sadowsky MX at Christmas, replacing the V7, I can see the P getting pushed to one side again so I should probably get on it! Quote
nilorius Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 Dohhhh..........there is no Fender p or Sire j, so don't choose anything 1 Quote
Marky L Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 Two ups! Both at the same time.. not sure how, but half the fun would be figuring that out 😉👍 Quote
Guest Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 If that Jazz plays as sweetly as my Sire PB then I'd say the Jazz. Quote
Baloney Balderdash Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 The Jazz look cooler, but I am pretty certain doesn't sound nearly as great. Quote
Rich Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 Isn't it a bit like choosing between an apple and an orange? Quote
Tvrtastic Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 For me there is no such thing as ‘the one bass’. The P should be on flats, the J on rounds. Both keepers, and both different and worthy in own right. Quote
Tvrtastic Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 (edited) My P (flats) and J (rounds and yes I took a saw to SIRE head) Spoiler Spoiler Edited July 3, 2023 by Tvrtastic Error! Quote
