Yes I was using my ABM600 head, mostly flat EQ, bass boosted ( 40hz ) a little As pick playing brings out a high in mids tone I found that backing off 400hz really added to the depth of tone. It doesn’t get buried in the band mix and sounds great. I wouldn’t do that fingerstyle of course !! Yeah I prefer the sound of a Precision but I’ve got the Fender Aerodyne 32” medium scale which has the traditional Jazz bass pickups.
