In my case it was caused by a PE and deep vein thrombosis and I got the chest infection thing at the same time. I survived and my lungs are healing but it wasn't nice. Back at the gym now and digging the garden and starting to sing again so all is good. Anyway yesterday I ordered a couple of Fane 8-225's so I can build the prototype and I'll try and dig out my draft plans and get them off to @Bassybert for drawing once I've made a few sketches. My 14 year old daughter started playing bass a few months back and her and her friends have formed a little band (one has an electronic drum kit and another plays guitar and is interested in other instruments e.g. autoharp, uke, banjo, zither...). I've been trying to sort out a lightweight rig she can carry to the drummer's house, down the road. On Saturday I got a little Hotone Thunder bass, from Andertons for £50, and it's pretty impressive for such a tiny thing. I’ve got some ‘acoustic’ gigs coming up where I will be using my NS EUB through my Fane Sovereign equipped TC BG250 208 combo, and knowing the gigs are a bit limited for space, I bought this little stand off Thomann for the princely sum of £16. https://www.thomann.de/gb/ortega_oas_fl_amp_stand.htm Coincidently, the angle of the stand matches the angle of the leg of my IKEA desk. They held on to my order until everything was in, literally for months. Anyway here now and I've sent the revised drawings to @Bassybert who will turn them into something presentable and double check everything. I do own a Trace acoustic Cube and was wondering if this might work with suitable eq? another option is that we have a second aux feed from the desk and a spare power amp channel so maybe a small speaker cab with just the bass? there is a PJB Earbox in the classifieds that looks like it might work, or maybe i have a go at some DIY and try to build either the 6" o 8" basschat cabs. What are the hive mind's suggestions? Ideally i'd like to keep the cost down under £200 but if i can sort something with what i have that would be great. Unfortunately at the moment we're not in a position where we can all go to IEM's and for the sort of stuff we're doing we rely on being able to hear the audience a fair bit so the isolation of IEM's wouldn't work. I put the link to the PDF on p1 because that is where most people are likely to find it first of all unless they have been following this thread for a while. I'm not doing the drawings but so long as you can make out the dimensions that's what I'll use for the prototypes and I think it's as well to wait until all the gremlins have been discovered before making too many changes. Poor @Bassybert will be doing this as a full time job otherwise Changing that dimension crossed my mind when I drew up a cutting list, I might do it when I actually get the table saw fired up.
