Owen Posted May 3, 2009 Share Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) My bass is emitting the sound of distant thunder. Not in a good way. There seems to be a crackling that sounds like crackly pots. But this is when the volume is completely down. There is a VERY tiny bit of bleed through when the vols are off. The bass has 1 x EMG pick up and an EMG preamp but it also has a Piezo bridge with a Fishman preamp. Both these have independant vol controls. The noise is there in different rigs and with different leads. The noise is there with both volumes off and with either or both volumes on. I have changed the batteries.
