VTypeV4 Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 There's been a few posts about various Squier models on here recently so I thought a collective space to post pics of all those wonderful instruments would be lovely. ❤️ My three Squier Jazzes: Natural finish 2006 VM series (Cort factory) Blue / Puprle 2007 Affinity 'J-Bass' model (Cort factory) Olympic White 2022 40th Anniversary Gold Edition (Sammick factory) Lets see yours. 😃 9 Quote
Bassman68 Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 Ok, I’ll play… Started off in 1983/4 with a black SQ Precision, my first gigging bass. Added a Jazz bridge pick-up & eventually stripped it & refinished it, even defretted it…Played lovely as a fretless but I bought a Stingray fretless & moved on the Squier. 2012 needed a Jazz bass for the function band I was with…The two guitarists had purple Strats, the closest I could find was a Burgundy mist Squier infinity that I had to import from the US as it wasn’t a European listed colour at the time? 2021 saw me with a hankering for a P-bass again, but I wanted a white one with a maple board…The Squier affinity PJ fitted the bill perfectly.. 2022 The call for Sunburst & blocks was strong….The VM 70’s answered 😄 4 Quote

Waddo Soqable Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 The only 2 Squiers I've got, both very useful and fit for purpose. The precision I haven't even bothered to take the cling film off despite having used it a fair bit! (sorry about the crappy photos, taken on an equally crappy tablet) 2 Quote
doomed Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 VM, wears a Kiogon loom and lately some Toltec 'Hot' Jazz pickups. 4 Quote

Rumple Posted May 10, 2024 Posted May 10, 2024 I've had plenty of Squier's over the years I still have this 80's JV 32" scale Jazz, strung with some sort of flats, I had a SQ 32" scale Precision for a while which was rather nice. I now prefer short scale basses and I'm happier playing my Classic Vibe Mustang. 6 Quote

Cat Burrito Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 I started on a Squier back in the 80s and the current crop are great. Having spent several years of the last decade only owning two basses (both Squiers), I currently only have my bass vi that is a Squier bass. I also have a 6 & 12 string for writing songs. 3 Quote
nige1968 Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 I don't have much call for P basses, but everyone needs one, right? So this was my lockdown panic present, of which the body, knobs and scratchplate are original. Pickup is a Seymour Duncan housed in a cheap cream housing. Loom is Kiogon, neck and tuners are Fender 70s-style and bridge is one of them chunky Fender Mexico jobs. 9 Quote
meterman Posted May 14, 2024 Posted May 14, 2024 My Squier Affinity Jazz, in Charcoal Frost Metallic. I replaced the black pickguard with a cheap tort one and added a tugbar, as I’m probably one of the few people that use them on the treble side. It’s got La Bella flats on it now also. I originally wanted the Burgundy Mist Metallic version but everywhere was sold out so when Thomann were knocking these out for £175 I didn’t hesitate. Would have loved a blocks & bound neck on it but I think they only came with the 40th Anniversary Jazzes. Still an amazing bass regardless of cheapness 👍 3 Quote
VTypeV4 Posted August 5, 2024 Author Posted August 5, 2024 The VM with some favourable filtering - still a super tool. 40th anniversary enoying a session with the recently acquired Trace combo.. 3 Quote
