jd56hawk Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 New Reverend Thundergun color. I'm guessing it's just like Fender's Antigua...either you love it or hate it. 2 Quote
Velarian Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 Can’t say I’m keen on the colour but the pickups look interesting. Are they unique to the brand or are they more widely available? 1 Quote

Are they unique to the brand or are they more widely available? The same pickups and electronics are available in the Mercalli and Dub King...some of the best stock pickups made. SPLIT BRICK Strong lows and highs, open mids. Like a vintage P bass pickup but with more beef, yet retains clarity. 43 gauge wire, ceramic magnet, 8.5K ohms. THICK BRICK Warm and thick with strong mids. Output and punch like an active, but more organic sounding. 42 gauge wire, ceramic magnet, 7K ohms. Why they discontinued Medieval Red is beyond me. (Andy Irvine must like them, he has maybe half a dozen youtube videos.) https://youtu.be/Q43cb02XMw0 Edited July 18, 2023 by jd56hawk 2 1 Quote

That green to yellow burst reminds me of the Precision that Jean-Jacques Burnel used early on with The Stranglers. I like it 👍 2 Quote
Hellzero Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 80's Aria and other Japanese brands pickups were similar. 😉 Quote
Grahambythesea Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 The green & yellow looks like an avocado 🥴 which may make some people 🤮 Quote

Newfoundfreedom Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 I'm not sure about the colour, but that's a great name for a band. 1 1 Quote
Bassassin Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 I do like that. Always been Reverend-curious, and that colour reminds me of the finish on some 70s Rick copies: Affectionately known as SnotGlo. 2 Quote
pete.young Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Ideal for Norwich City fans. So I guess they're not going to sell very many. 2 Quote
