Jaybeevee
Hi folks, I was just wondering if anyone has any experience, recent or distant with Bag End bass cabs? I may have an opportunity to get my hands on some new cabs in what ever configuration i want.. So having done a little reading and web trawling it seems that they design (and maybe manufacture) their own drivers, and have kept the same design basic design of drivers and enclosures for the past 40 years... So weight excluded, I was just looking for some 'subjective as you like' feed back on any aspect of the performance of these cabs, perhaps compared to more modern quality cabs? FWIW, besides the stingray i play passive P, J and PJ bases. Cheers Jay
Dan Dare
As far as I'm aware, BE use stock Celestion drivers. I've seen a couple of their cabs. Traditional boxes. Solidly made and offered in a range of finishes, but little different from any other conventional cab.
jazzyvee
I believe Alembic were closely related with Bag End back in their early days and you can find a lot of info on bag end speakers cabs on the alembic web site. if you type this into your browser search bar you can find some links to the alembic threads discussing these speaker cabs. Bag End speakers site:alembic.com Hope it helps. Happy hunting Edited July 20, 2023 by jazzyvee
