Lighter than I expected...my Contemporary Active P bass weighs a ton! The neck is as smooth as silk, great fretwork, too. I've heard that the stock strings on Squiers aren't very good, but these are just fine...I'm waiting for a set of Galli flatwounds, but roundwound fans won't be disappointed with the ones that come from the factory. Funny, because I've never been a fan of Fender active basses, but I have three C Squiers. Maybe they just work better with flatwounds or tapewounds. 1 Quote
uncle psychosis Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Very nice. Was tempted by one of these myself! 1 Quote
Bevan7 Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Nice bass. Is your mute cut from the foam in the packaging of fender pickups? I use that too. 1 Quote

Bevan7 Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 This is the fender pickup packaging foam, same colour scheme. 2 Quote

SurroundedByManatees Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Like. It's great to see how Squier puts out nice "different" basses. I'm really enjoying my Rascal so maybe this range could exceed expectations too (of course depending on the individual instrument). I would definitely buy one if I could find a reason.... Well, I don't have a 5-er...🤔 1 Quote
