Neck Pockets….

I’m going to guess I already know the answer but….. are Fender and Squier neck’s interchangeable? Or pot luck?

 

How about different models and scale lengths of those brands?

I swapped the necks of a Mexican Fender P and a Matt Freeman sig Squier once. I forget why. But anyway, they fitted each other.

And I think fitting a J neck to a P has been a common mod since the jazz bass was invented.

Fitting a different scale length neck would leave the bridge in the wrong place.

In general Fenders were designed so you could swap out the necks so the same should be true of Fenders and Squiers. I say should...
