BassAgent Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 So apparently, Fender is going to announce a new Vintera series later this year. With this time: -Competition stripe Mustangs -LPB Jazz -Telecaster Bass -VI And: the reintroduction of rosewood instead of pao ferro. https://guitarbomb.com/2023/07/22/leak-fender-vintera-ii-series-is-back-with-rosewood-fretboards/ 8 Quote
Cato Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 (edited) I'd be very interested in trying the Bass VI especially if there's a shell pink or sea foam green version. The Telecaster bass is tempting too. Edited July 22, 2023 by Cato 1 Quote
Cosmo Valdemar Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 I'm very excited by the Tele bass... I don't think I'd need one but it's lovely to see it reissued. 5 Quote
meterman Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 The Telecaster bass 😛 Do I need it? No. Do I want it? 200% Yes! 5 Quote
uncle psychosis Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Wait till you see the prices. That website has the mustang bass listed at €1249 and the Bass VI at €1449 😭 Quote
Jackroadkill Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 What are the chances of the Tele bass having a 34" scale? Quote

Don't forget to use the tradesmen's entrance, eh? 2 Quote

Sounds like a textbook day out, and I believe it’s still legal to shoot someone from a horse in some parts of the country but you’ve got to use a bow and arrow 🏹 1 Quote
Linus27 Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 (edited) Oh my, I want that Telecaster bass, I just cant decide Sea Foam Green or Vintage White. Congratulations also to Fender for again not releasing an unlined fretless Precision or Jazz, good effort as usual 🙄 Edited July 23, 2023 by Linus27 1 Quote
Geek99 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Way beyond my means but I’d like the buttercream T bass 1 Quote

theyellowcar Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 The Bass VI and Tele Bass are something else. Esp the Surf Green. Thankfully I dabbled with a Squier Bass VI and sold it years ago because I’m not imaginative to get the best out it. Quote
Lw. Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Tele-bass looks seriously cool, price is a bit punchy though. Is this them trying to put a bigger price step between the Mexican ranges (player to vintera, positioning the vintera as more premium rather than just more vintage specced) or are the prices just being pushed up across the board some more do we think? NancyJohnson Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Fender: "Coming in 2025! The Vintera III series! Because you suckers will happily buy the same kit again and again if we give them a new name!" 3 1 9 Quote
BillyBass Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 (edited) The Telecaster bass does look cool but that pick up is really close to the neck. How muddy is that going to sound? 39 minutes ago, NancyJohnson said: Fender: "Coming in 2025! The Vintera III series! A bit of both I’d say. Inflation being passed through into the price because a “new” range can bear an increase more readily than an existing product already on the shelf. That aside, there is a genuine step in quality between the Player series and the ranges above (Player Plus/Vintera/Mexican Signature models) whether it’s worth the price is personal, but they are definitely more premium instruments. 1 Quote
ped Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 I was about to say that it looked as if the Mustang had been moulded in the proper vintage shape as opposed to the newer reissue shape where there's quite a bit more body behind the bridge but I realise that they've gone with the bigger body again for some reason. It's a particular quirk that nobody else cares about but it annoys me! 1 Quote
