Michael Poller Romanian Fully Carved 3/4 Double Bass 1970s and Accessories (great starter set) - £1000 - *SOLD* £1000 Edinburgh

For sale my beloved double bass. I don't practice or play on it as much as I should these days (other commitments) and I'm sure it could find a better home (even though I know I'll regret it one day). I bought it here in October 2017 from a fantastic basschater from Shepley. He made it a great bargain for me and I'm also not looking to make any significant profit on it. What goes around, comes around!

It's fully carved and stringed with D'addario Zyexes Light. The fingerboard has been reshot in March 2018 by Stringers Edinburgh. They also installed a new, adjustable, bridge. I put small leather protectors on the side so that the bass can be safely put on the floor on its side. The instrument also comes with Shadow SH951 piezo pickup, so it's gig ready!

The bass comes with the usual dings and scratches of a working 50 years old instrument. Nothing significant that I can see and I hope the pictures reflect it well. Let me know if you want me to send additional pics of any specific details I might have missed.

Now all you need to do is just practice regularly! The bass can be tried out in Edinburgh (EH6) and I know it's a pain, but it's collection only (I can attest it fits in a Mini though, so you should be grand in most cars).

All that for £1000 and I'm cutting my own throat here!
