Tolex offcuts?

Hi all,

Can anyone point me in the direction of a place where I can source a small sheet of black tolex? I need to re-cover a couple of corner patches on my GK combo but I don’t need it in the quantities most vendors sell it in. An A5 sized sheet would be more than enough. Cheers all. 😊

If its just basic patching you need to do to protect exposed wood on the cab and you aren't super fussed about matching the grain try searching for Grained Faux Leather Fabric Heavy Duty Leatherette Vinyl in your search engine of choice. Sounds a bit kinky but its legit and several big online stores sell it by the metre for around a tenner. Sticks well with normal spray contact adhesive, especially the stuff that has the fabric backing and as a lot of it is intended for furniture its quite hard wearing.

I have some Marshall style tolex here that I am using for my 2x12 build but I think I will have enough to spare an A5 sized offcut. Drop me a pm with your address and I'll send it to you.

Really not much at all. 2 pieces 50x50mm max should do it. 😊

Looks like you're sorted now thanks to the kindness of others. Good stuff...

For future reference, THE RANGE is my "go to" for wadding and covering. They usually have a half decent black and brown in stock sold by the metre.

I bought a load of purple and green covering from an online source a couple of years back and it was stretchy beyond belief. Actually made it harder to cover cabs than a more "stiff" material. It now resides in my shed and will continue to do so :)

Dunelm also sell decent covering. I bought some really good oxblood red from them a while ago. I used it to cover my basschat 110T project cab.
