Bassist available - Greater Manchester

Hi all,

 

I've spent the last 13 years with Jump The Shark as the bassist, gig getter, PA wrangler, promo/poster designer and social media promoter.  We are winding up at the end of this year so I'm looking for something new.

 

About me:

• Early 40s
• Based in South Manchester
• School teacher (so no odd shifts)
• Own transport
• Own gear
• Reliable, easy going etc etc
• Can sing backing vox
• Can work a PA and do sound (to pub gig standards)
• Contacts with venues around the North West
• 15+ years gigging experience

 

Ideally I'm looking for:

• Covers band, not too fussed on genre
• 1 gig a month (within 1hr of home would be brilliant)
• A couple of rehearsals a month
• A band that takes pride in performance but has a laugh too

 

I'm still playing with JTS until December, but I'd like to get the ball rolling with finding a new band now, so could do some overlap if needed.

my mate is looking for a bass player for a blues band been going 20years+ based in st helens do covers and originals. but the covers are not your normal pub blues band stuff.

im just about to put an ad in the bass players wanted section,

Thanks! I've actually just  had a couple of rehearsals with a new bunch that is looking promising.

 

From the video, I'm sure your mate won't have any trouble filling the bass chair.
