How do you guys sort out the extra cable slack between jack output and transmitter pack? I was thinking about adding some kind of sleeve to the bottom part of the strap to conceal/semi secure the cable to the strap. Any ideas?

If you know how long you want the cable, I can make you one. I have the connectors and cable in stock.

As I have a significant birthday this year, and as I have a couple of ‘festival’ type gigs coming up, I’m thinking about upgrading my Line6 G30 to the Shure GLXD16+. Nothing wrong with the Line6 other than the transmitter feels very flimsy (battery door already showing signs of failure). Quick question to the GLXD user community, does the transmitter have a belt clip or similar? I have two custom straps with loops to take a belt clip hence the question.

And it’s worked flawlessly since I purchased mine.

I pop mine in a Neotech pouch which goes in my back jeans pocket

I wouldn’t be without it and you have a great tuner too

My transmitter sadly seems to have an intermittent fault (sound dropouts) around the cable input on the transmitter. It's not the cable as I have 3 (incl Desgnacables) and they all do it.

Anyone have any suggestions for what I can do, apart from buy a whole new system. No point buying just a transmitter (approx £300) as I may as well just buy the whole new GLXD+ system at that price...😭

How old is your set up? Is it now out of warranty? (1 year or maybe up to 3 years?)

If the retaining ring (aka the barrell) for the 3-pin socket has loosened up that it can rotate, then you probably have a failing solder joint.

Mine did that and when I realized it wasn't the cable, but in the socket, I was way out of any warranty and had no choice but to open the transmitter up and repair by resoldering the tiny wires back to the socket pins.

Work carefully and pay attention because the rubber door can get pinched and not open correctly, but was relatively easy fix.

So yes, periodically check that the retaining ring hasn't unscrewed itself.

My GLXD16 is one the best pieces of gear I invested in. I've had it since 2015 and done well over a thousand shows. I have two transmitters for it and kept in Neotech pouches, and have done all the current firmware updates from Shure's site.

Thanks all! I've found a local handyman who loves messing with stuff like this and he opened it up, identified the broken connections and mended it better and stronger than ever for just £20!

Great stuff. Couldn't have hoped for a better fix than that.
