Bass Fumbler
This is probably a stupid question but here goes. On my Ashdown RM500 amp, does it matter which Speakon socket I use? I always use the top one but I find that when I am disconnecting the speaker, the back of the amp casing is a bit tight. The lower one would be easier but I don’t want to cause a problem. The speaker is a Barefaced 210 retro if that makes a difference. Edited July 29, 2023 by Bass Fumbler
Lozz196
Won’t be a problem whichever you use.

They are connected internally, and are there simply to allow two 8 Ohm cabs to be connected at the same time (so tha amp 'sees' 4 Ohm...). For only one cab, either socket is fine.
