It's incredibly handy, especially if you're using any of their convolution reverbs and amp models which can get pretty heavy on cpu.

The convolution reverbs have the portal feature built in. There is a "buffered" toggle switch that enables it, with the advantage of sending the dry signal directly, avoiding then the extra latency.
