New bass day - last week

Finally got my hands on another DB after six years without one.

It's a different Duke I happily stumbled upon fairly local to me & at a good price.

Always regretted selling the other one.

 

May possibly end up doing something with my brother but probably not the old band.

I regret not being able to raise the funds to buy it off you when it was for sale - you'll have to give us a report on how the new one compares, and a string run down(assuming you don't have golden slaps on it)

It's Gamba shaped where the other was Violin shaped,other than that from memory it plays just the same.

It came with some old gut-a-likes which were horrible,so it's now wearing a set of Evah Pirazzi Slap strings,the synthetic set & I really like them a lot
