Dazed Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 As @ped just posts on the other Mike Kerr thread there’s one for sale on Reverb £1399 Quote

It can only be the pickup or location changing the sonic output. Yes, that's exactly what I said in my initial reply to you: On 10/08/2023 at 23:21, Dazed said: I wonder if that’s an actual remake of an original Telecaster wide range humbucker or the later one that’s more muddy, like you get on the re issue Tele’s they’ve released over the years. As in the ones they use new for the new Paranormal Rascal Bass is not the same pickup, since it doesn't sound muddy at all, but actually pretty nicely well defined and articulate. Woodinblack Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 Isn't it just one of the pickups of the gretsch g220 that he actually made his name with but is to cheap to make much money from? 2 Quote
Dazed Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 I don’t honestly know, but repros by The Creamery, Stonewall and Curtis Novak certainly aren’t cheap Quote

These pickups won't be made on some assembly line, probably hand made by one person, one at a time, and time is money... Quote
Dazed Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 I guess they are all hand made, but even compared to all their other handmade pickups they’re expensive £200+ Quote

crazycloud Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 I like the colour, especially if it had a matching headstock, but literally nothing else about it, even for Squier prices. Quote
Musicman20 Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 (edited) May have been covered but is it USA or Mexico made? EDIT - MIM - Not that they are in any way bad instruments, but wow, that price with a soft bag.... Edited August 15, 2023 by Musicman20 1 Quote

They (instrument manufacturers in general, not just Fender) seem to have a knack of extracting just the right amount of michael such that significant numbers of people don't vote with their wallets. 2 Quote

Fender prices are going up soon once more so add $100 at least to the MIM basses...probably not the MK Jaguar, but I'm glad so many people are finding some Squiers are better alternatives. Let's not forget Reverend, Sire, Bacchus, etc. Edited August 15, 2023 by jd56hawk Quote

They have been doing it for a while - its a crazy price, I am sure someone pays that. Quote
NancyJohnson Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 I saw a video on this earlier...Peach Guitars. Either the guy playing it is a giant or it's a tiny instrument. It looks absolutely diddly. 1 Quote

Old Horse Murphy Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 (edited) Had a go on one of these today at A-Strings in Treforest. Loved it Apparently lead-time for new stock (i.e. what's not currently in circulation in the shops) is something ridiculous like August 2024. Edited August 19, 2023 by Old Horse Murphy 2 Quote
Cliff Edge Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 Limited Edition. Marketing speak for “hurry up and buy one before we reduce the price because we couldn’t sell them at full price.” 1 Quote
Old Horse Murphy Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 Either that or it means Limited Edition 1 Quote
