So if it’s in a similar location and isn’t as boomy as the original tele pickup it has to be a different pickup. It can only be the pickup or location changing the sonic output.

Yes, that's exactly what I said in my initial reply to you:

I wonder if that’s an actual remake of an original Telecaster wide range humbucker or the later one that’s more muddy, like you get on the re issue Tele’s they’ve released over the years.

Likely the ones they use for the new Paranormal Rascal, which doesn't sound muddy at all, but actually pretty nicely well defined and articulate.

As in the ones they use new for the new Paranormal Rascal Bass is not the same pickup, since it doesn't sound muddy at all, but actually pretty nicely well defined and articulate.

I don’t honestly know, but repros by The Creamery, Stonewall and Curtis Novak certainly aren’t cheap

Economies of scale, innit? These pickups won't be made on some assembly line, probably hand made by one person, one at a time, and time is money...

I guess they are all hand made, but even compared to all their other handmade pickups they’re expensive £200+

Isn't it just one of the pickups of the gretsch g220 that he actually made his name with but is to cheap to make much money from?

This is what it says about the other smaller G2220 Electromatic Junior Jet like bridge pickup on the page that the link in the OP leads to:

So it's a custom humbucker by Fender themself.

May have been covered but is it USA or Mexico made?

EDIT - MIM - Not that they are in any way bad instruments, but wow, that price with a soft bag....

Why do we do this to ourselves?

Why do we let them do it to us?

How far is "too far"?

They (instrument manufacturers in general, not just Fender) seem to have a knack of extracting just the right amount of michael such that significant numbers of people don't vote with their wallets.

Fender prices are going up soon once more so add $100 at least to the MIM basses...probably not the MK Jaguar, but I'm glad so many people are finding some Squiers are better alternatives.

Let's not forget Reverend, Sire, Bacchus, etc.

They have been doing it for a while - its a crazy price, I am sure someone pays that.

I saw a video on this earlier...Peach Guitars.

Either the guy playing it is a giant or it's a tiny instrument.  It looks absolutely diddly.

Well. it's 30" scale and he's quite a big lad, so a bit of both.

this is literally my dream bass! i've been waiting for a fender jaguar short scale for so long (they only had squiers), but it is quite expensive for a mexican bass

Had a go on one of these today at A-Strings in Treforest. Loved it

Apparently lead-time for new stock (i.e. what's not currently in circulation in the shops) is something ridiculous like August 2024.

Limited Edition. Marketing speak for “hurry up and buy one before we reduce the price because we couldn’t sell them at full price.”

Any chance of listing your herd?

Unfortunately it's more true in recent years with how big brands market their gear.
