joetruscott
I thought this would have gone as part of a P/X but i'm not sure if the guy is interested. It was made in 1993 and is in mint condition except for the ding photograph with my finger included for scale but for 16 years old it is in great condition. The Electronics were stripped about 4 years ago to Dimarzio DP123 Jazz Pickups and Fender vintage cloth wiring, Pots and Orange Drop capacitor (like they have on the US vintage custom shop) for an old school sound. All fitted by the Bass gallery up in Camden. These upgrades improved the bass's sound quality 10 fold than the stock japanese wiring and 'so called' US vintage pickups. I have the original pickguard which is White/Black/White which will be included. I have a badass II bridge that is normally on the bass (when installed the sustain goes on forever) which I can include with it aswell if wanted. The grain of the wood on the body and neck is lovely and like none i've ever seen on another Fender. The hardware, most notably, the bridge, strap buttons, string tree and tuners have started to get that vintage look from being exposed to air for years (almost frosty looking). The quality of this bass surpasses the US series by far IMHO. The neck is in great condition with no dead spots and is a great example of a slick and fast jazz neck. I have a warwick rockbag to ship the bass in aswell. I'm open to offers.. Looking for £500! Edited June 13, 2009 by joetruscott
Linus27
Oh bugger. Kind of what I would like if I had to get another Jazz, although black block markers would be perfect. Can you PM me what sort of price you are looking for just in case I can raise funds.
Mr Fudge
I'd like to give this bass a major bump. I finally got to this stage a few weeks ago. I put my Marcus 75RI neck (Jap) on a 75RI Jap Jazz body and the results are superb. If you like the skinny neck and lightweight then this is for you. I might add a badass, Im not sure how much I am missing it at the moment. Good luck with a great bass.

gafbass02
Woah!! £600! Crikey! I paid £700 brand new for the last one I got !! The fender Market has gone rather squiffy!
joetruscott
Seems a few people don't agree with £600 for it but im my defense this is nothing close to the new models they are making. I played a 2007 and it feels completly different plus the new pick ups and wiring makes such a different. I'd be interested to hear what other people think but I wish you could be in my room playing it because then you would all go........ aaaaahhhhh. cardinaljay
It's worth what someone will pay for it and I think £600 is fine. Sorry you're not accepting trades - Fingers crossed my Precision will move on soon and I'll be knocking your door down. bozzbass
These basses are excellent and, as the man says, are way different to the new J basses. Those pickups are rude!!!!!! The price is good and around what I paid for one on Denmark Street a while back.
