Any thoughts on repairs or fixes?

What do you suppose i should do? I dont want to pick it off.

It wasn't actually me, it was a fella i was paying to install.

I'm a bit upset about it. The guy generally does stellar work!

Do i have to re-spray the whole spot woild you think? Would nitro touch up pens or brushed on be very conspicuous?

I did docthe initial paint hob myself

Hmm he hadn’t thought of some kind of drop cloth then ?

Would a bridge cover hide it? I’d pick it off and see how bad it was underneath

He said he used a leather chamois but it got under it.

Yeah, i havent physically inspected but will do do tomorrow.

I'd pick it off or tweezer..

Any paint left in the can? Spray on a cotton bud and dab... Nitro is meant to surface-melt or react, so might blend in respectably...

Yeah, will have to buy more unfortunately

If that's the result of work you were paying for, the person doing the work should fix it to your satisfaction for free. If that means a total re-spray of the body so be it.

If that was my bass, and body was otherwise flawless I'd want it returned to the state it was before the any work had been started.

Thats what im hoping.

You shouldn't need to hope anything. The person responsible for doing this should be getting on and fixing it so that you would never know it happened in the first place.

Maybe then they will take proper precautions when when soldering on other customer's basses in the future.

That's not a solder blob.

Your bass has manifested the spirit of Phil Lynott.

Fit a mirror pickguard immediately!

:shok:

This changes everything!

Call whatever the British equivalent to FBI is immediately!

This is an X-Files!

And who knows, this Phil Lynott rash might be infectious and spread!
