BigRedX
I think I would want silence. IMO music has become so ubiquitous that it is now under-valued, and besides people are going to talk over it anyway.

cetera
In no particular order, the following. All have beautiful and thoughtful lyrics.... and the track by the wonderful 'Lake' has some lovely bass playing throughout by Martin Tiefensee....

Boodang
Rather than a funeral, my wife and I have decide to become trees (I want a plum tree planted above me so people can suck on my plums after I'm dead). So, instead of a funeral we're putting the money into booking out our fav indian restaurant so all the guests get free curry and beer. Consequently the music for the whole thing will be 'evening' ragas.

I particularly enjoy this live version of Mariner I did see them play Mariner in full in 2016, best gig I've ever seen

Bless her she asked for bob Marley's 3 little birds. In our grief the "don't worry about a thing cos every little things going to be alright" was a lovely message to us all. Count Bassy
It would have to be "The Weaver's Answer" by Family. I have made this known to several people, so hopefully it will happen come the day.

Damnthatlazlo
I’m not going to do anything about it, but my mrs family are all into spiritualism, so they know better than to deviate from the playlist!! 🤣🤣🤣 changes a lot. I like the idea of hitting shuffle on my liked songs. but if being serious. wooden heart - by listener. about as helpful as you can be…(instrumental.) Dan Mangan Tonight we fly - divine comedy. TheGreek
My only sister passed away in December ( 7 kids in my family). I arranged the music with Albatross by Fleetwood Mac, Stranger on the shore by Acker Bilk and Samba Pa Ti by Santana. All mellow, thought provoking instrumentals. 3

Geek99
I think the pogues “if I should fall from grace with God” and g’n’r “knocking on heavens door” would be humorous choices

Sorry it evokes sad memories for you Mick, as you say the lyrics are amazing especially combined with the song structure and vocals. I went to see Brian Wilson a few times in the early 2000's ( before he sadly declined & when he had that amazing band) and it was a truly spiritual point in each gig when they played that song. KingBollock
I’d definitely want: Motörhead - Killed By Death John Denver - Sunshine On My Shoulders I can’t decide on a third. Possibly Simon & Garfunkel - Hazy Shade Of Winter, or Cradle Of Filth - Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids.
