I had one of these about 5 years back, without doubt one of the best instruments I've ever owned and had it been a 4-string it might have stayed with me. At every level of scrutiny - and assuming it's similar to mine - this is a very very good bass 👍

Thanks very much - yeah it’s super versatile with the active/passive options. Fantastic “P” sound obviously but also can produce uber-modern jazz tones

Forgot to mention it’s a comfy 9lb on the bathroom scales 👍🏻

I have seen these rare CS basses in Fender catalogues from 15 or so years ago, but never in the ‘flesh’.

Looks great!

Thanks - yes they are vary rare indeed, even the more “common” sunburst ones.

I’ve been asked about string spacing and it has the Fender bridge with grooved saddles, so you can adjust between (I think) 18mm and 19mm or thereabouts. Current measure across all 5 strings at bridge is 75mm.

Ahh yes - happy to post pretty much anywhere. I’ve got several bass boxes I could use. Would be insured obviously. Collection would be Essex or London or can meet up around the M25 for the Southerners!!

Ooh thanks! It sounds killer too. If I didn’t have the Spector and the Warwick this would be a keeper!

Basschatters - hit me up with sensible offers !! (Whatever sensible means !)
