musicbassman Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Not normally my thing, but the arrangement and levels of musicianship are off the scale. Enjoy. 4 2 Quote
Dad3353 Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 A frenetic pace; bravo and kudos to whoever wrote out all of those rearranged scores. I think I'll stick with the original as 'go-to' listening, but a worthy effort in bringing it, kicking and screaming, into the Big Band swing repertoire. Good Stuff. Quote
rwillett Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Brilliant but the editing drove me up the wall. Constant flicking from one instrument to another. I stopped watching after a while and just listened. I thoroughly enjoyed it once I stopped watching rob 3 Quote

lowdown Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 A terrific arrangement and very well played... I like the quote from arranger Charlie Rosen on the notes: "Here's a little side project for you!"... A little side project, indeed!! Charlie Rosen is a games music writer and Big Band arranger...'The 8-Bit Big Band' is his project. I've been a subscriber to his YouTube channels for a while, and they are worth having a nosey around. He is a top, top arranger. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxUheFf_jVsSkxW9DBd_6bA https://www.youtube.com/@CRosenMusic 2 Quote
