DI boxes for bass

Not going to help OP, as it is active and definitely does color the signal, but I am really satisfied with my ART Tube MP Project Series tube preamp and DI.

 

And as a bonus you get a switchable HPF, fixed @ 40Hz 12dB/Oct, that really tightens up the low end when engaged.

The Orchid Electronics DI box is really, really good and not very expensive either. They do a few versions (micro, mute switch etc) but they’re a real hidden gem. I don’t think you can buy them directly at the website anymore but there’s a link to the retailer on there
