Amp repairs, Hertfordshire?

Can anyone recommend someone who can do amp repairs in the Hertfordshire area, ideally not a big travel from St Albans? Thanks!

Not used them myself, but I used to use a rehearsal place in Stevenage, and the guy that ran the place used - and spoke highly of - Mal at The Amp Workshop (also in Stevenage) for all of his repairs.

The same fella who I used.

He's retired due to arthritis. 

 

Simmons Electronic Drums used to be made locally and many of the former employees live in Hatfield.  I know a few of them but haven't seen them for years.  I'm trying to find them for future projects. 

I'll update the thread if/ when it happens. 

 

Ross, if you're desperate try contacting Pedro at Sims TV in Hatfield Town centre. They're a man down currently so repairs are slow currently.

Thanks Mick. I'm pretty much covered with a good preamp pedal and my Ashdown rig but I bought a nice SWR to scratch the gas itch and it makes a bit of a hiss noise and needs some re-covering done.
