Ashdown ABM 500 - *SOLD* £50 Wallasey, Wirral

This Ashdown I have had for years but it has a lot of crackly knobs, I don't have the time or inclination to sort it and I don't really use amps any more anyway I'm mostly going straight to the desk from my Pod.

 

Quick run down of the problems.

 

Gain knob crackles

Tube drive knob crackles when it's engaged and you move it (if you leave it over to the right it can be a little bit intermittent in certain positions)

Compressor knob crackles when it's engaged and you move it (also seems to be a bit crackly in general when its on)

Sub Harmonic knob crackles when it's engaged and you move it

 

.. other than that It works great!

 

I don't know if it would be an easy fix or replacing the knobs or what. But if you want to use it as a beater amp to put in the practice room or something it would be fine for that, once you've set the levels it actually does sound amazing like all Ashdowns do.

 

Collection only from Wallasey on the Wirral due to its vast weight.
