I put a light gauge set of DR Black Beauties on the BBNE2 tonight. Impressive, balanced sound with a tight low B. I can see where some folks might find these grippy, but It’s not a problem for me. Plus, black strings on a black bass, ebony board, and gold hardware looks pretty slick.

Yeah,  they look equally at home on my Epiphone Blackbird, which has a dark RW 'board,  but is otherwise nearly completely black.

Thanks! Sounds pretty nice as well. It’s not as nuanced as the MPV but has the brute force to keep up a loud drummer…

There are some Black Beauties on it, but you have to look quite hard!

How long have you had them on? Looks great, btw!

Had them on since about May, but they've not seen a huge amount of playing time. Sounds really good now I've got the pickups "right".
