26/8/2023 Site update - bug spotting

We updated the forum software this evening (Saturday).  Everything appears to be working OK but if you spot any bugs, particularly in getting access to the site or entering text, let us know.   We have also made a change to advertising for guests (viewers who are not logged in) and that'll come online in the next few days.

Not sure if it's related to the update, but just tried purchasing a subscription.  I can ad it to the basket and view the basket, but when I go to review and pay it says basket is empty.  Tried on Chrome and Safari.

No formatting icons visible in the dialog boxes for starting a new topic or replying to an exiting one.

 

The spaces for them are there and the grey highlight shows up when I move the mouse pointer across them, and AFAICS the formatting can be applied. It's just That I can't see what I'm applying until I start typing.

 

Mac OS 10.13.6, Safari 13.1.2 (I know it's old but until I can afford I new Mac that all I have).

 

Alt tags are visible, so I'll probably manage without.

Have you tried it in different browsers to rule out the possibility of browser cache issues?

It's fine in Firefox, Opera and Chrome.

 

I suspect it's an incompatibility between this version of Safari and however these icons are generated. Flushing the cache doesn't make the icons appear.

Didn't realise until now, but I receive notifications for (maybe) all the new threads.

 

Looks like a bug to me.

I'll ask @Woodinblack if it might be something to do with our side.

Just opened Basschat on safari iPhone today and got a German cookie banner! I confirmed my Verstanding ok though!

Just got this on my latptop running Chrome this morning.  Clicked on a different part of the forum and got the English version.  Didn't appear to be a "more options" or reject button, so only way to get rid of it was to agree to it from what I could see.

I seem to be unable to copy Google images or press photos, getting a 'file too large' notice - it never used to do this ?
