Haha yes, very aware it exists Jack - I post in there pretty regularly! 🙂

 

It was more tht if we did a similar straw poll asking whether we should have an "Accessories and Misc" thread we'd likely get far less enthusiasm for setting that up than we've already had for a dedicated "PA and related" thread, but hasn't stopped one being set up.

Around town bands usually have to carry their own PA. That's why I have 4 nice EV cabinets with 15/horn . My car might move all four and a small bass amp. Or get help with a truck ?

I think the interest level is probably high enough to trial it for 3 months.  But if the sub forum goes for more than 3 months without activity at any point in the future then I'll combine it with another section.

@Kiwi the new subforum should definitely be under Amps And Cabs NOT Other Instruments, which would make it very hard to spot. Could you please move it?

Unfortunately as a mere Mod I can't move entire subforums, only threads, so fixing the mistake is down to @Kiwi.

In the meantime, anyone finding a thread that's about PAs, please either report it or tag me in it and I'll move the thread to the new PA subforum.

I think you would have less work to do moving stuff, and more traffic, if PA was its own animal IN GEAR section appearing under AMPS and CABS.

No, it shouldn't appear under anything. It should be directly under the Gear section.

If you look at my list..... it is indeed a GEAR forum listed under Amps in the same level.

IMO it's a big enough category for it to be a top level forum within "Gear" and not a sub-forum and certainly not a sub forum of "Other Instruments".
