Hi all

It's time to move this behemoth on: I've gone digital to save my glass back!

This is a Fender Bassman 100T, a 100 watt tube amp that looks as good as it sounds. I bought this before lockdown in 2020, and have used it on approximately 20 gigs since. It's got oodles of volume and warm bass tones, and when I've played it through my Barefaced cab, it can drown out a small jet plane. I've predominantly used the vintage tone stack for classic Fender bassman tones, however the modern overdrive tone stack is notoriously excellent and can give you various different types of crunch or clean (just ask the Nothing but Thieves or Royal Blood bassists!)

Switchable to 25 watts or even "silent recording mode", it makes an excellent addition to the studio also. The silent recording mode means that you don't need a speaker load whilst playing- very useful.

There is also a switch to change between 2, 4, or 8 ohms as required. Also on the back panel is the Fender automatic bias, which does exactly what it says on the tin, and warns you when there are valves that aren't playing ball. Each time you turn the amp on, this bias checks each valve, balances them as required, and informs you if there's any valve problems. It's even possible to make the valves run warmer or cooler in order to perfect that tone you're after.

This amp comes with a big beefy flight case which could withstand a small atomic blast (as if the amp wasn't heavy enough on its own...) This flight case has lived in the garage for three years and is showing the beginnings of rust on the outside. I usually opt for the lighter bump cover which is also included.

*EDIT* Previously, here, I explained that I'd had issues with the amp, involving a slight distortion in the modern tone stack. These have since been fixed by Pro Audio Services who were near Swadlincote. In the last quarter of 2023 so far, the amp had absolutely smashed three gigs and a few hours of home practice, at both 25 watt and 100 watt mode, with no issues whatsoever. It is CRYSTAL clear. It's an absolute powerhouse, which is sadly getting retired now for something lighter.

The amp comes with a foot switch also, which allows you to change between the vintage channel and the overdrive channel. Oh, and did I mention its just passed a PAT test? Oooohh.

Anyway, this is pick-up only if you're interested. I'm not keen on shipping it as, including the cases, it weighs just shy of five metric tons. I'm based right in the middle of the country, and can even drive to meet up somewhere if required.

Cheers for looking- I hope this interests someone :)

Gigged this on Saturday at a small pub. First half in 25 watt mode, sounded glorious, no problems. Second half in 100 watt mode, barely cranked on the master volume, and it still didn't miss a beat. Used the modern tone stack all night with a little bit of grit to it. Sounded awesome.

My only issue is the size and weight of it- I just need something smaller!

£1000 collected from Derby.
