Tee
Having done a bit of research I think the answer is no, but I thought I'd ask here. While I like the Fender lightweight tuners they added from 2008 on, I'm not keen on the huge clover pegs (still trying to look like a double bass). I'd prefer smaller Y pegs a la Hipshot. The 2008 tuners i have, have no drill holes, while a Hipshot would require a newly drilled hole which i'd like to avoid at this point. Alternatively, if you could just change the pegs and keep the rest of the tuner housing, that would be great but I assume that's non-starter. Mine look like the attached image. Has anyone tried something similar? Thanks.
neepheid
There will be holes - tuners like that most likely have protruding pins in the base plate which locate in holes in the headstock.
Tee
Yes there are two shallow holes under the housing, but what i mean are no drill holes for screws.
neepheid
Trust Fender to do it the opposite way to the established way of doing this (Schaller M4S - the nubs are south of the cog, not north). Honestly, I don't think there will be a non destructive way of achieving what you want.
