I suspect that for a Mod your approach works really well, Michael. For a mere browser such as me, the steam-powered route is just fine. 🙂

You might think, but it's actually my standard approach for all forums I use. Got into the habit ages ago. Less clicks 🙂

I dunno.. if you use BC fairly regularly, you can see pretty much all the recent activity in one place with a click or two. It also means you won't miss stuff that might have otherwise missed your attention 'cos it wasn't is the 'right' forum.

As to your other point... it's not a question for me. But if it was, I'd be reluctant to add more sub-forums.

This is what I do. The Basschat icon on my tablet takes me straight to unread content, bypassing the front homepage. If I want to look into older stuff, I use the search function.

You could probably merge "Accessories and Misc" and "Repairs and Technical" into a single forum since IME they have a largish crossover with each other and plenty of threads regarding repairs tend to get posted in the forum for the piece of gear needing to be repaired. Which would make room for PA to have its own main forum in Gear.

All I see is a couple of mods railing against what everyone is telling them for no good reason.

Serious accusation. Can you post some examples?

My advice would be to just to get on using the forum for the time being rather than talking about where it should be. I personally don’t think it’s going to be very popular anyway but happy to be proven wrong!

Not sure what the problem is with where it is not until it warrants a whole main forum.

Quite, I'm really happy we have a home, can we just get on with living in it and talk about PA please.
